In the hum of the old Flint Farmer’s Market, with papaya juice in my hand and familiar faces all around, I learned that tasting God’s goodness often begins in the most ordinary moments.

Like the Weather Ball that once lit up downtown Flint, life is full of shifting seasons—but in the midst of change, Hebrews 13:8 reminds us that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Whether sunny skies or winter storms, His steady presence is our anchor—and the best forecast of all.

When storms hit and the weight of leadership feels overwhelming, godly men don’t retreat—they rise, leaning on God’s strength to lead with integrity, love, and faith, just like my dad did in Flint, Michigan.

I was baptized as a baby in Flint, Michigan, but it wasn’t until I fully surrendered my life to Jesus—and later witnessed my mother-in-law do the same, transforming her life before she went home to be with the Lord—that I truly understood the power, peace, and legacy of baptism.

The drive-in taught me this: it’s easy to show up and still miss the story—so live wisely, watch with purpose, and don’t let the moments God gives you fade into distraction.

Some of my best memories were made on the dusty field at Rock Park, where the streetlights signaled the game's end—a reminder that one day, our Father will call us Home, and we must be ready.
