In the hum of the old Flint Farmer’s Market, with papaya juice in my hand and familiar faces all around, I learned that tasting God’s goodness often begins in the most ordinary moments.

Some of my best memories were made on the dusty field at Rock Park, where the streetlights signaled the game's end—a reminder that one day, our Father will call us Home, and we must be ready.

The deepest friendships remind us that Jesus doesn’t just want our loyalty—He wants our laughter, our tears, and our hearts.

They may tear down the walls of Flint Central High School, but they can never demolish the legacy, love, and lessons built within them—especially when that legacy is rooted in Christ.

Whether in marriage, mentorship, or friendship, the relationships that shape us most are the ones that lead us closer to Jesus—our truest companion and guide.

Growing up on Vernon Avenue in Flint, Michigan—walking to practice with childhood friends, cheering on the Flint Central Indians, and feeling the heartbeat of the drum corps—I learned that true fellowship isn’t built on where you’re from, but who you walk beside.
